Can I Trade on a Mac?

Explore your options for trading on a Mac, including workarounds for running Rithmic and other platforms.

Updated over a week ago

While we don’t recommend using a Mac for trading, there are some options available. Rithmic is not fully compatible with IOS/MacOS devices yet.

If you want to make Rithmic work on a Mac, here are a few solutions (at your own risk):

  • Option 1: Run Windows 11 on your Mac with an M1 chip to be able to run rTrader Pro.

  • Option 2: Use a virtual machine. Some traders use services like Ninja Mobile Trader, which works on any device, including Mac, phones, or tablets. Use the coupon code "DayTraders" for 10% off.

  • Option 3: Install Parallels to run Windows on your Mac. You can find YouTube tutorials to guide you through this setup.

  • Option 4: Try Oracle’s open-source software, VirtualBox, to run Windows 10 on your Mac. Check YouTube for setup instructions.

  • Option 5: Use the Rithmic Trader web application to log in directly.

Please note: These methods are not officially supported by our platform and should be used at your own risk.
