How to Set Up a Virtual Machine (VM) to Trade on Two Funding Companies

Learn how to install a virtual machine on your Windows PC to manage multiple trading platforms.

Updated over a week ago

If you want to trade with two different funding companies on the same PC, you’ll need to set up a Virtual Machine (VM). This allows you to run separate instances of trading software on each VM.

Steps to Set Up a VM:

  1. Use Windows 10 to install a VM software like VMware or VirtualBox.

  2. Install a second operating system on the VM.

  3. Run each trading platform on separate VMs for different funding companies.

Pro Tip: A VPS (Virtual Private Server) can also handle this for you without using your own machine’s resources. However, keep in mind that trade copiers won’t work across VMs, so you’ll need to manage trades manually on each one.
