Understanding the Difference Between Member Login, Account Number and User ID

Learn the difference between your Member Login, Account Number, and User ID to better navigate DayTraders.com and trading platforms.

Updated over 3 months ago

1. What is a Member Login
The Member Login refers to the credentials you create when registering on DayTraders.com. These include:

  • Username: The name you chose during registration.

  • Password: The unique password you set.

Your Member Login is used to access the DayTraders.com website, where you can:

  • Manage your accounts.

  • View your status and invoices.

  • Set up or monitor Pro accounts.

2. What is an Account Number?
The Account Number is the specific trading account you use for trading purposes and when communicating with the help desk. This account information includes:

  • A unique identifier such as DT-0009-10, which can be found in two places:

    • On your Member Dashboard when logged in to the website.

    • On your chosen trading platform.

When addressing customer support, always reference your Account Number for faster assistance.

3. What is a User ID?
The User ID is a part of your trading platform login credentials and is automatically assigned by our system.

  • Example: DT-0009

  • The User ID does not include the account-specific suffix (e.g., “-10”).

  • It is used alongside an auto-assigned password to log into your trading platform.

Summary

  • Member Login: Credentials for accessing the DayTraders.com website.

  • Account Number: The specific account for trading and support queries (e.g., DT-0009-10).

  • User ID: A system-generated identifier (e.g., DT-0009) for your trading platform.
