There are two ways to connect your Rithmic account to ATAS:
Directly
Via RTrader Pro.
Below, you'll find instructions for both methods.
Connecting Your Rithmic Account Directly to ATAS
To connect your Rithmic account directly, follow these steps:
Configure the Connection
Sign the Agreement
OCO Orders Warning
Keep in mind that OCO (One Cancels Other) orders are simulated locally on your computer. If you get disconnected and one of the OCO orders executes, the others WILL NOT be canceled. If you're okay with this, click I Accept, Please Continue.
Enter Your Credentials
Make sure your Rithmic account is NOT connected to RTrader Pro or any other platform.
Enter your Rithmic account login and password.
Select Your Server
Choose the appropriate server based on your account type and broker.
Optional: Aggregated Quotes
If you want, activate the checkbox for Aggregated Quotes to simplify market data. This reduces CPU load but might also slow data updates.
Uncheck "Connect via RTrader Pro"
Ensure the box next to Connect via RTrader Pro is unchecked.
Connecting Your Rithmic Account to ATAS via RTrader Pro
To connect your Rithmic account through RTrader Pro:
One Account Limitation
You can only connect one Rithmic account to ATAS via RTrader Pro.
Matching Settings
The settings for ATAS and RTrader Pro must match.
Log In to RTrader Pro
Log in to RTrader Pro, ensuring the following settings are activated:
Allow Plugins: [ON]
Aggregated Quotes: [ON]
Configure the Rithmic Connector in ATAS
In ATAS, go to the Rithmic connector settings and check the boxes next to:
Aggregated Quotes
Connect via RTrader Pro
Optional: Aggregated Quotes
You can enable Aggregated Quotes if you wish to simplify the market data and reduce CPU load.
Finalizing Your Connection
After configuring your connection, it will show up as a separate line in the connection list. Here’s what each column represents:
Add: Add a new connection.
Type: The connection source.
Name: You can name the connection however you like.
Status: Displays the connection status.
Quote Provider: Choose this connection as a quote provider if necessary.
Auto-Connect: Enable this if you want the connection to automatically occur when the platform starts.
Connection Settings Button: Click this to adjust settings.
Remove Connection: Use this to remove a connection from the list.
Connect/Disconnect: To manually connect or disconnect.
Important Notes About Rithmic Connections
Rithmic connections can be sensitive to communication issues and CPU load, so be aware of the following potential issues:
Plug-In Issues
If you enable the plugin connection, you won’t be able to connect without the plugin until you restart the application.
Multiple Connections
If you create two connections (one with the plugin and one without), the second one won’t connect.
Server Availability
If a Rithmic server is unavailable, the connection may take a long time to close, causing delays. Switching servers may require waiting for the previous connection to fully close.
Connection Lost
If the connection is lost, ATAS will notify you with a pop-up message.
Potential Connection Loss
If there’s an issue with data exchange between Rithmic and ATAS, you’ll receive messages like:
“PnL Connection - Heartbeat has been quiet for XX seconds.”These messages might indicate problems with the PnL, trading, or historical data connections.
Actions to Take in Case of Connection Issues
PnL Connection Issues:
Data like price, volume, and position direction on ATAS may differ from Rithmic’s servers.
Trading Connection Issues:
Orders may be sent to Rithmic, but their status might not be reflected in ATAS.
Handling Alerts:
If you receive messages like "PnL Connection - Heartbeat has been quiet for XX seconds", ATAS will show a pop-up with the details.
Order Confirmation After Alerts:
DayTraders only offers limited support for platform related issues. If you experience any issues with your platform, please contact their platform support directly.
