The platform offers full functionality for sending orders through Rithmic. Follow these steps to set up the connection.

Instructions for Connecting to Rithmic:

  1. Install R|Trader
    First, download and install R|Trader. Open it to sign the CME license agreement, then close the program.

  2. Configure Market Watch
    Navigate to Market Watch > Setup > Connections.

  3. Create a New Connection
    Select New and choose Rithmic.

  4. Enter Account Information
    Input your Rithmic username and password.

  5. Apply Changes
    Click Apply to confirm the connection.

  6. Close Connection Window
    Once successfully connected, close the Rithmic connection window.

  7. Choose Your Account
    From the list of accounts, select your specific account (e.g., XXXXX RT).

  8. Begin Trading
    Everything is now set up for you to start trading.


Key Features:

  • Complex orders (e.g., Trailing Stop, Stop Loss, Take Profit, and Trigger orders) are processed server-side, meaning they will continue to function even if the trading terminal is closed.

  • You can connect multiple Rithmic logins at once (up to 3 accounts for free).


Important Information:

  1. Connection Issues
    If you encounter a connection error, follow these steps:

    • Set State to OFF, click Apply.

    • Then set State to ON and click Apply again.

  2. Avoid Trading on Multiple Platforms
    Do not trade the same account on both VolFix and another platform simultaneously.

  3. Account Security
    Your login information is securely stored on the VolFix servers. All credentials are encrypted during storage and transmission. VolFix staff cannot access your login or password information.
